Humbucker Neck

I made this model to look and sound like a well-worn '50s humbucker as originally designed by Seth E. Lover. The pickups are built to traditional standards. Each has its own character and DC resistance, just like the originals. I wanted to give the player a pickup that looks like it's been played regularly for 40 years, so I aged the nickel silver cover and the poles. Included is a front-tapered mounting ring and the screws that go with it. The pickup is not wax potted, which retains the vintage sound and appearance. Crafted by hand in my "Antiquity" room, each pickup is signed on the magnet and bottom plate to guarantee you are getting an original Seymour W. Duncan Antiquity™.

Humbucker Bridge

Like the neck position model, the bridge position humbucker is a faithful replica of the great sounding "patent applied for" humbuckers that Seth E. Lover designed in 1955. The pickup comes with slight variations in DC resistance, just like the old ones. I decided to wind the bridge pickup a little hotter and better balanced for its position. The mounting ring is slightly higher for the increased pickup height. The pickup is not wax potted to retain the sound and appearance of the originals. Again, each pickup is built by hand in my "Antiquity" room and every magnet and bottom plate are signed to guarantee that you are getting an original Seymour W. Duncan Antiquity™. Hookup wire includes the classic braided "push back" cloth braid wire.

Custom Bridge for Strat

I wound this pickup hotter for added output and fullness. Like my Texas Hot™, this pickup is both magnetically and physically aged to sound and look like a '50s pickup but with an added punch. Each comes with a specially aged cover. I don't just mold my covers with custom colors so that they look old. The magnets are calibrated and the coils are wound "top going" with North polarity, the same as the early vintage models. Each pickup comes complete with screws, schematics, and vintage "push back" cloth braid hookup wire. Also a RWRP is available for the middle postion.

Texas Hot™
for Strat

For years now I've been custom-making these pickups for my friends and special artist friends. Each Texas Hot™ is carefully assembled and hand-wound like the traditional classics. Careful attention to details like scatter-winding ensures that the Texas Hot looks and sounds like a classic Strat® should. I make them for the player wanting the closest re-creation of a vintage pickup. Period. The magnets are calibrated and the coils are wound "top going" with "north" magnetic polarity, the same as the early vintage models. Each cover is individually aged: not just injection molded with custom colored plastics. Each pickup comes complete with screws, schematics and vintage "push back" cloth braid hookup wire. Also a RWRP is available for the middle postion.

Antiquity II Custom Bridge for Strat

The 60s Surfer pickup is a replica of the 1964 Strat pickup that made plenty of surf music for the Chantays and the Belaires. The detail in this pickup is perfect for restoring old and updating newer instruments for sounds of the past. A Custom Bridge version is also available for those players needing more output from the bridge position. Also a RWRP is available for the middle postion.

Neck (Rhythm) Pickup for Telecaster

This neck pickup for Telecaster® guitars is wound as a full-sounding rhythm pickup. It comes with an aged, deep drawn cover for vintage looks and added coil protection. The neck pickup comes with schematic and mounting screws. Each pickup re-creates the look and sound of an aged early '50s pickup. The pickup comes complete with screws, schematics and vintage "push back" cloth braid hookup wire.

Bridge (Lead) Pickup for Telecaster

I have a great time re-creating the beauty of an early '50s lead pickup Tele®. Using vintage techniques, each pickup is hand-fabricated and scatter-wound. All parts of the pickup are aged and given the look of a pickup played for 40 years! Like the originals, the ferrous bottom plates are not wax-potted for that "breakin'-up Tele twang tone" that's just on the verge of feedback. The pickups are Dun-Aged™ and come with mounting hardware, schematics, and tons of tone! The hookup wire is the classic "p back" cloth braid wire.

1955 Bridge (Lead) Pickup for Telecaster® (raised D & G pole)

After early production of the flat pole lead pickup for Telecaster®, the pickups were manufactured with a raised D & G pole for better string response and output. These classic pickups had great sound too, and I wanted to re-create the look and sound of this classic.
