Truly Beautiful Disastor

The Effector 13 Truly Beautiful Disaster is an oscillating fuzz, a feedback loop, and a photo-eye, all in one unit! The oscillating fuzz is capable of hundreds of different fuzz tones with it's blend, fuzz, oscillation, and gate controls, while the feed back loop can mutate any of your other effects into a new noise generating machine of doom. By moving shadow or light in front of the photo eye you can manipulate the intensity of the feed back loop which can make high gain pedals act like a theremin.

Torn's Peaker

The Effector 13 Torn's Peaker is a truly organic high gain fuzz. This is fuzz LOVE.. this is fuzz with ALL the flaws.. all the little grime and compression and unclean, ungodly, unholy sounds that distorted wave forms originated from!!! Sliced up speaker cones... over-driven pre-amps on mixing boards of the 50's... sessions recorded directly to vinyl before the days of tape and processors and protools. In addition to it's great fuzz sound, there is a second mode that unleashes wild chaos unlike you've ever heard.

Disastor Fuzz

Well! The Disaster Fuzz simply take the amazing fuzz from the Truly Beautiful Disaster, and places it in a compact and easy-to-use enclosure.

There's no intimidation of the half dozen knobs. Simply the Volume controls the intensity and Oscillation controls the intensity of the oscillating, lower octave effect.

This is by far, no ordinary fuzz pedal. With it's self oscillating circuit, you can achieve fun theremin tones, and lower octave madness that, at higher settings, can arpeggiate into synth-style square wave love!

Not only does the oscillation create wonderful madness, but it really thickens up the fuzz tone, making your guitar sing. Basic Operations

Effector 13 effects run on either a single 9-volt battery or 9-volt power adapter. We highly recommend using the Visual Sound One Spot adapter for your power supply needs. To use a 9-volt battery, simply remove the four screws on the bottom of the effect and remove the bottom panel. Attach the 9-volt battery to the clip, and place the battery on top of the cushion (you may have to hold the battery in place as you reattach the panel). Put the panel back on, and enjoy.

It has been suggested that you put your Disaster Fuzz towards the end of your effects chain, as there are some buffered bypass effects that don't seem to get along with the Disaster Fuzz's love.

The jack on the right is the input, the jack on the left is the ouput.

The Disaster Fuzz is a fairly simple device with two knobs : Volume : Controls the over all volume. Hard right is full volume, hard left is no volume Oscillation : Controls the intensity of fuzz oscillation. Hard right is full oscillation, hard left is no oscillation.

Dark Boost

There once was this lovely distortion circuit E13 was building for bass guitar then they decided to plug into aFender Stratocaster into. E13 couldnt believe it they were very pleased with the tonal change. To their ears, it was as though my Strat, with its bright single coils, became more like a vintage Jazzmaster with humbuckers.

If you traditionally have used Fender guitars and amps, but occasionally may like a darker tone. That's where the Dark Boost comes in real handy.

It's not just a tone-knob-in-a-box either. It actually alters the entire shape of your guitars sound to give it more darkness.

NoFi

A _very_ simple effect. When on, it reduces the lower frequencies of your guitar, while preserving the over-all character and volume. The Noise knob enhances the noise of the signal, creating a slight fuzz when turned to the right.

The NoFi contains the circuit design of the amazingly talented Tim Escobedo.

The jack on the right is the input, the jack on the left is the ouput.

The No-Fi is a fairly simple device with a two knobs : Volume : Controls the over all volume. Hard right is full volume, hard left is no volume
Noise : Controls the amount of noise/distortion. Hard right is full noise, hard left is minimal noise.

Hint and Tips

  • The Noise knob acts a little differently with different set-ups. For the most part it will generally add a bit of fuzz sound when turned hard right. With some set-ups it will actually increase the amount of hiss and white noise as well. There have been a few people reporting that the Noise knob only slightly alters the sound of their rig.

  • Try placing the No-Fi after a fuzz pedal. It's been reported that you can achieve some amazing Rolling Stones "Satisfaction" sounds with this combo.

  • Experiment with the No-Fi before and after certain effects in your chain. You'll notice that it will effect the sound completely differently depending on where it's placed.
